We have real history. This is where the Spanish explorers hacked their way through dense oak under growth to build the first trails across our coastal plains. This is where the Indians massacred the whites and the whites massacred the Indians. This is where we built forts to protect our shorelines. This is where we have enshrined the battleship Alabama, a submarine, airplanes and an LST. This is where you can make a short excursion to the National Naval Aviation Museum at Pensacola Naval Station.
